Our History
About Us

Premier Community Bank of Florida was founded as 1st Manatee Bank by a collaboration between three executive bankers and six community business owners who had a vision of establishing and operating a locally owned and managed community bank. With the support of our local shareholders, the bank was headquartered in rural Manatee County in the town of Parrish, Florida, and opened in November, 2007. Back in 2007, the Florida community banking environment was in turmoil. Local banks were on the brink of failure, leaving customers’ loans and deposit accounts in limbo. The founders of Premier Community Bank felt that Manatee County deserved a better banking choice. They laid the framework for a strong, customer-focused financial institution that offers uncomplicated deposit choices and affordable loans. Many of the principles adopted then are still in use today in our branch network.

In 2017, we changed our name to Premier Community Bank of Florida in order to accommodate growth into more areas. We remain committed to offering the absolute best customer service in the industry. As we have grown, we have hired veteran bankers and loan officers that understand the needs of Gulf Coast businesses and citizens, bringing over 200 years of collective banking experience with them. We have added more branch locations to service our clients and continue to remain competitive, offering many of the same convenient services that the larger banks offer. In the years to come, Premier Community Bank hopes to continue our growing trend, providing a profitable investment for our shareholders and a stable banking environment for our clients.
