Prior to Premier Community Bank, Mr. Kuhlman served as Market President for Stonegate Bank in its Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte County markets. Mr. Kuhlman has over 30 years of banking experience, all on the west coast of Florida. He was the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of Florida Shores Bank, until its merger with Stonegate in January 2014. He was Area President for Colonial Bank, after Premier Community Bank (the bank he founded as CEO in 1996), was acquired in 2003. Prior to Premier, Mr. Kuhlman was City Executive for SunTrust Bank in Manatee County.

Mr. Kuhlman served for 21 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from The University of Florida and a Master’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from Boston University.

Mr. Watterson is a veteran of the banking industry and began his career at Barnett Bank of Bayshore in 1979, which later became Barnett Bank of Manatee County. Mr. Watterson graduated from Manatee Community College in 1978 and from the University of South Florida in 1981. He is also a graduate of the Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida and the Bank Administration Institute School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. He has held the position of Chief Financial Officer with several banks, including Key Florida Bank, SouthTrust Bank of the Suncoast, American Bank, and First Priority Bank. Mr. Watterson is a member of the Palmetto Rotary Club and the State College of Florida Foundation, Inc. Asset Management Committee.

Mr. McNeal has been in the banking industry for more than thirty years in the southwest Florida market. He began his career at C&S National Bank in 1986, where he was accepted into the bank’s commercial credit training program in Atlanta. Upon completion, he began serving the commercial and business community here in Manatee and Sarasota counties. In 1990, Mr. McNeal went to work for First Union National Bank, where he spent the next seventeen years of his career, managing some of the region’s largest credits for the bank. In 2007, McNeal was hired by M&I Bank to oversee their commercial real estate group for West Florida from Bradenton to Naples, working through a severe economic and real estate downturn. He has also spent some time working for JP Morgan Chase in their middle market banking group, covering this market’s largest privately-held companies. Most recently, McNeal has joined Premier Community Bank as Chief Lending Officer, overseeing the commercial and consumer banking functions of the bank. McNeal is a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Finance.

Mr. Gordon joined Premier Community Bank in 2017 as Branch Administrator. He comes to us with over 17 years of banking experience in the southwest Florida market. He began his career with Bank of America as Trust Administrator in the Private Bank and then graduated from the Branch Manager Trainee Program. After managing a branch for 3 years, Mr. Gordon entered the Global Wealth and Investment Management line of business as a Premier Banker for Bank of America. In 2007, Mr. Gordon joined M&I Bank as the Florida Market Manager for the “Premier Banking” line of business. M&I Bank was acquired by BMO Harris Bank in 2010, where Mr. Gordon led the retail network along the west coast of Florida. He is a Florida native and a graduate of Campbell University, where he majored in International Business and minored in Trust Management and Marketing.
Executive Vice President / Chief Operations Officer and BSA Officer
Ms. Thompson joined Premier Community Bank in 2017 as the Chief Operations Officer and BSA Officer. She started her career in banking in 2005 when she joined Community Bank of Manatee as their Chief Internal Auditor. Ms. Thompson graduated from Indiana State University in 1987 where she majored in accounting. She moved to Florida where she began her career in the public accounting industry. She achieved her certification as a Certified Public Accountant in 1992. In the public accounting industry Ms. Thompson managed audits for banks, construction companies, and not-for-profit organizations. Upon leaving the public accounting industry she served several community banks in the capacity of internal audit and operations including BSA, compliance, credit administration, retail network, deposit operations and loan operations. Ms. Thompson is a graduate of Leadership Manatee and has volunteered her time with Junior Achievement and Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as an active member of her church.
